“The grass would be only rustling in the wind” – Alice in wonderland.

The world is beautiful! A wonderful statement from this perfume by renowned Japanese designer Kenzo. It was released in 1997, and is a fruity floral. It came from the nose of Daniela Andrier.

The bottle is organically designed, as expected from Kenzo perfumes. It is a translucent bottle, with opaque neck and lid. It represents a pebble, with leaves growing across it, from a flower perched above. The box is a tangerine colour, with a rose on a side in the same hue.le monde est beau by kenzo perfume review

Opening notes: Blackcurrant, magnolia, and aglaia odorata.

Middle notes: Cherry blossom, jasmine, albizia, and honeysuckle.

Base notes: Vetiver and cedar.

This opens rich and heady, with an atmosphere of hot summer days, and ripening fruits ready to burst. It moves from acidic to powdery, wavering, hovering, giving a sharp thrill then pulling back to softness. The powder wins over, and drapes itself over the lightest of blossoms, such a delicate fragrance one has to hold their breath to reap the fullness of it. This is nature represented at her gentlest.

Suited to: Summer and autumn will play beautifully with these notes.

Rating: I give this a bronze medal, try before you buy.

Price: Expensive.

Who would wear this? An experienced woman in love.
